The 2nd Annual Martinsville Speedway Open House will take place on Sunday, August 24th! This free event will take place from 1PM to 5PM. Enjoy a guided trip around the track led by the official pace car for the TUMS QuikPak 500 as well as a tour of the press box, corporate suites, the flagman's stand, the infield and the garage area. In addition, enjoy free "Martdogs" (Famous Martinsville Speedway hotdogs) and Pepsi products while supplies last. Also, several NASCAR Whelen Modified and Late Model Stock cars will be on display, along with vintage race cars and Martinsville Speedway pace cars. Anyone purchasing tickets to the TUMS QuikPak 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race during the open house will be entered in a drawing to win a pair of tickets for the Bud Fan Zone on the morning of the TUMS QuikPak 500.

The Greensboro Police Department will hold a Gang Awareness Educational Forum on Tuesday, August 26th at the Council Chamber of the Melvin Municipal Office Building (300 W. The Archdale Police Department will hold its 4th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 26th, at Holly Ridge Golf Course. This 4 Man Captains Choice Tournament will feature a $1000 1st Place prize. Cost is $60 per person or $240 per team. Shotgun Start at 12:30PM.
